Infection control madness

Interesting. I would suggest that 'hand washing' has made very little difference as 'health professionals' may watch the videos - but don't follow protocols.

Following a friend from ICU - protocols strictly followed - to a general ward was an eye-opener. Visitors mostly did apply hand-gel - medical and nursing staff didn't.

My friend, after watching a doctor 'touch' many patients before her, refused to be examined until he washed his hands.

He did - but did he learn from it or just view her as a stroppy bitch? Probably the latter. I think.

Infection is something we have to pass all time, I feel so identify with this because I get paranoia when it happens, I'd like to read something else about it.
