The remedy mass lobby

The grass roots organisation representing junior doctors Remedy UK has organised a mass lobby of parliament today, today is also the day on which MPs are due to have a debate on Modernising Medical Careers (MMC).

This government is trying to wreck medical training. It is another prong in their multi-faceted assault upon the autonomy of the medical profession. The public need to realise that the government reform of medical training will have devastating impacts upon their health care in the future.

Juniors are emigrating, juniors are quitting, while those who are staying on with the NHS are massively demoralised and near breaking point. The potential waste is absolutely staggering, at both a human and an economic level.

I have my fingers crossed that this brilliant effort from Remedy can make a real difference, they are showing some other people how it should be done. You can donate money to the Remedy war chest here.
